Its suggesting i run the game at ultra and extreme settings based on my graphics card.but even running it on medium i notice a drop in performance over my last nividia which was a middle of the road geforce. If he's playing at medium at all the driver is installed, that's just an extended feature that is probalby unavailable without an ati package of some sort. As for SC2's recommended settings, SC2 recommends settings based on video card solely, i dont think it even considers what rest of your hardware is. In your case your CPU is not good enough to handle high or ultra, espeically with how cpu driven sc2 is and how inefficent it is with the cpu. Certain visuals will be turn up able fine cause they rely heavily no gpu, but certain options will have to stay lower cause they rely heavily on cpu. Well Omega all I can say is my graphics card before this one was inferior by quite a bit and it ran the game far smoother on far higher settings.

So In this case where my hardware save the card is the same I would argue still something is not right with the card. It warned me when I first booted up my computer that the card was not running at maximum capacity. It still feels glitchy and slow. My cpu was more then adequate to run the game on high before. Maybe on paper your telling me its not.

But i am the one who sits in front of my monitor and sees the performance first hand. I installed the dual update just fine. I am still seeing choppy performance. I really doubt this is all the card is capable of. If it is than I am going to take it back.

It was a nividia GEFOrce 8800 GT. I just figured the card should be better since this has like 1.2 MB of its own RAM on the card in comparison to the Geforce's 512. The graphics chop is tolerable. But it's just enough to throw my timing off and I can't play as well with it. With my old card every once in awhile the performance would lower and if it did, dropping the settings to medium on both counts would always provide for the smoothest play imaginable.
